Extended Opening Hours

Extended hours surgeries on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings are available specifically for those patients who are unable to attend the surgery during our normal weekday hours. These surgeries are for PRE-BOOKED ROUTINE appointments ONLY and the practice telephone service will NOT be available.

Emergency Out-Of-Hours Calls

The practice is open from 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Outside these hours, an emergency service, contracted by East Sussex Downs and Weald PCT, is provided by South East Health Limited. You may telephone them directly on 0845 155 2255 or if you telephone the surgery there will be a message giving the South East Health Limited number.

The service provides:

1. Medical advice from a health professional, which may involve a doctor calling you back, so please keep the line free.
   


2. An appointment to see a doctor at your closest medical centre (Crowborough Hospital). The doctors will see patients by appointment only, so do telephone first.
   


3. If you are too ill, disabled or elderly to travel, you can request a home visit. The maximum waiting time is three hours and the visiting doctor will prioritise the call.

Your own GP will be informed of your consultation the following morning, and he/she will continue to be responsible for all consultations and home visits between the hours 8.00am and 6.30pm on weekdays.

Please note that all requests for immediate appointments or home visits which are received by the practice before 6.30pm on weekdays will be dealt with by the practice, even though the consultation or visit may not necessarily be made until after surgery hours.
