practice manager, secretaries and receptionists are here to advise you on how
to see the doctor or nurse, and provide information about the practice and its
services. Please be patient at our busy times, such as Monday mornings, when you
may have to wait for attention. Any information given to the staff will be treated
in absolute confidence.

Our practice
nurses offer health care and advice. As well as traditional nursing services such
as dressings, ear syringing etc, they provide specialised services such as well
person checks, child immunisation, family planning advice, cervical smear testing,
blood pressure screening, diabetic, asthma and coronary heart disease care. They
may be seen directly or by referral from your doctor.

Health
Visitors
The health visitors are nurses with special training to advise and promote
good health. They work with all age groups, but particularly with families with
very young children, the elderly and the handicapped. Patients may be seen at
home or in clinic sessions. The health visitors may be contacted at Grove House,
Crowborough Hospital, on 01892 669393.
District
(Community) Nurses
The district nurses work with the doctors in the community, providing domiciliary
nursing services in the patient's own home. Their services are usually requested
by the doctor. They are based at Grove House, Crowborough Hospital.
Midwives
Our midwives assist the doctors in the care of expectant mothers before and
after birth. They advise on all aspects of antenatal and postnatal care, and work
closely with your doctor. Crowborough Birthing Centre is a midwife-run unit at
Crowborough Hospital (01892 654080).
Counsellor
Mrs Klara Seal is a clinical psychologist who offers counselling to patients by
referral from the GPs.
